Dolphin Scholarship Foundation receives funding from submarine spouse organizations, the submarine community, cartoon calendar sales, the DSF annual golf tournament and individual and corporate donations.
Dolphin Scholarship Foundation is a nonstock corporation organized under the laws of Virginia and tax exempt under Section (501) (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Depending on the amount of a donation, it can be recognized through our Named Scholarship or Endowed Scholarship programs.
Effective July 1, 2008, each $3,400 donation (the amount of an annual Dolphin Scholarship) will be recognized as a one year Honorary or Memorial Scholarship, named as the donor desires.
Each $80,000 donation is recognized as an Endowed Scholarship, named as the donor desires. Endowed Scholarships may be established by a lump sum or aggregate (over 4 years) donation.
