DSF Calendar Contest Rules

1. Six (6) drawings and six (6) photographs will be selected for the 2026 calendar.

2. Drawings are to be humorous and submarine themed in nature.

3. AI generated content does not reflect the spirit of the contest and is discouraged.

4. All cartoons must be:

• • Original artwork, not copies.
  • Hand drawn in black ink OR black & white computer generated.
  • Landscape orientated on 11” x 8.5” white paper.

5. Photographs may include submarines in action, homecomings, or life aboard today or yesteryear.

6. All photographs must be:

• • Your original work.
  • Depict non-sensitive activities.
  • Previously unpublished.
  • At least 300 dpi in PNG, JPG, or PDF format.

7. Please print on a separate piece of paper:

• • Artist’s Name – If current or former military member: rank/rate and duty station. If dependent: sponsor’s name, rank/rate, & artist’s age (under 18).
  • Mailing address, e-mail address, & phone number.

8. Please DO NOT fold entry.

9. $100.00 cash prize for each selected cartoon or photograph.

10. Entries due by August 31, 2025.
