“I am honored to be selected as a SubForce Scholar. I am thankful for programs like this that recognize the hard work of our military members and their children. My dad was unable to afford college when he was my age, so he joined the military to fund his degree. He emphasized the importance of education throughout my life, and I’m appreciative of all the opportunities he has given me, that he never had. I would also like to say thank you to all the donors and people who run this program for helping me fund my educational goals of earning a degree in environmental biology.”
