“Being a SubForce Scholar highlights the military legacy of my father who served on the USS Gato. It is an honor to be a recipient of such a prestigious scholarship. This also means I can focus more of my time and energy on my coursework, including student teaching in the fall, and becoming an outstanding educator. This also means I will be well equipped to give back to my community through my future classroom.”
