“Being selected as a Nautilus Scholar means a great deal to me because it represents both an incredible opportunity, and a connection to my family’s history in the submarine community. Growing up with my father having served as a Navy submarine commander, I saw firsthand the dedication, sacrifice, and leadership that comes with that role, and those values have strongly influenced the person I am today. Receiving the USS Nautilus Scholarship motivates me to continue working hard in my education and future career while honoring the service and commitment that define the Submarine Force.”
