“To me, being a Dolphin Scholars means having the opportunity to give back to the submarine community for everything that they have given me. It means honoring the service my dad did as a submariner and getting to use my passion for engineering to ensure that the new generations of submariners have the safest and most advanced equipment when they leave port. The team of engineers who built the USS Maine and other naval submarines are the reason I am pursuing engineering, not just because they brought my dad home safe from every tour, but because their work showed me that engineering can change the world.”
